Day 183 (4/23): Kenny and Kracker

I absolutely love Uncle Kracker!  So when I found out he was going to be in Wichita with Kenny Chesney, I really wanted to go coastal!  Uncle Kracker started the show and he was good.  Time has not been as good to him as the others that were performing that night but he sang his hit songs and put on a good show.

Up next was Billy Currington.  To be quite honest I had forgotten how many hit songs he has had until I heard him up there on stage.  And...Holy Hotness Batman, he is a good looking man. I would love to see him again in a smaller venue (so he can meet me and fall madly in love with me..lol).  He sang People are Crazy, Pretty Good at Drinkin Beer, Good Direction and Turnip Greens, Must Be Doin Somethin Right, Let Me Down Easy, just to name a few.  He was sweaty goodness!

Finally Kenny came on and played for nearly 2 hours! He played all of his big songs and his part of the concert was nonstop fun and excitement.  There were women in the crowd waving their panties around for him. I tried to put a circle around this woman with her panties and she was not the only one!

If you ever get a chance to see him in concert, he is definitely worth the money.  He really got the crowd involved by singing a variety of his hits and told some great stories. He had the tiniest legs or his pants were extremely tight and sucked the legs right out of him!

My favorite part was the encores.  He brought Billy Currington back out and they sang "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" with him and of course he brought back Uncle Kracker.  They really laughed and were enjoying themselves up there closing out the show.

My camera took a great video of them singing You Don't Have to Call Me Darlin. I had such a great time with Mark at the concert. Thanks Mom for the tickets! One of the best birthday gifts ever!

 

Day 142 (7/9): Buffett Baby!

We went to Texas to see Jimmy Buffett at the end of May and I never got the chance to post pics. So here goes....it brought back such good memories going through the pictures again and I can't wait to go to another concert.  If you have never been to a Jimmy Buffett concert in your life it is more than just a concert - it is an experience!  You go for the whole day to tailgate and check out all the other fans.

We made Cheeseburgers in Paradise for our tailgate.  It was extremely windy that day and we literally had to hang on to the tent to keep it from blowing away.  Notice the sandbags weren't even holding it down against the wind. So now for some of the sights and sounds around the stadium.  (Disclaimer:  If you are a younger person, ask your parent/guardian for permission to look at these pictures.  They definitely contain adult content).

These were the biggest pair of underwear I had ever seen. I am glad to report that they did not come out of my underwear drawer! 

Check out the sexy ones in these pictures!  Probably the only time you will see me in a bikini and surfing so take a good look!  I do like the abs on the men in our bunch so start on those situps and crunches Terry and Mark.

Now for something not so sexy...I thought you would enjoy both the front and back view. This guy gave you the illusion of having a bodybuilder body.  I think the only thing he was building was a protective cover for his beer belly.

I don't know what got sucked up into the back of these blue shorts but I don't want to find out. 

 Talk about wedgie city!

We did dress up a bit to fit in with the crowd. But we didn't break out the coconut shells like these dudes:  If you love people watching a Buffett Concert is a great place to check out some crazy people...crazy drunk people.  I think I would have to have a lot more alcohol to break out the coconut shells if I had a body like the guy on the left.

This guy couldn't keep his eyes off this girls balloons. She could poke someone's eyes out with those things!

And Mark got a treat from this guy.  See what he is doing with those things to that girls head?  Well he came down the aisle and did the same thing to Mark and said, "I've been looking for you all night!"  We busted out laughing!

We did see Jimmy in prime form that night.  He sang all of his classic songs in his flipflops and fun was had by all.  The Fin Heads were out and cruised through the concert the entire night.  I have tons more pics and videos of the day so if you are wanting more posts, please let me know!  :)  For now I leave you with a classic Buffett line: "If we couldn't laugh, we would all go insaane." I have laughed looking at these pictures and hope you have too. 

Day 135 (7/2): Ange's Concert Series

The Today show has a concert series so I figured why couldn't I?  Over the past few weeks I got to see some amazing concerts. I wasn't sure if anyone could be as good as Bon Jovi but they were right up there in terms of the "great concerts!" I'll start with the opening acts of Sugarland which were Danny Gokey and Luke Bryan.  They were both very entertaining and could sing just as good and better than they sound on the radio. Oh yeah and they were easy on the eyes!

Do you remember Danny Gokey?  He was on Season 8 of American Idol. I can't remember who won that year but I don't think he did. If I remember correctly this was the season with Adam Lambert but we all know how my memory works. He started out as a Christian singer and is now trying out the country arena. His voice was wonderful and he is truly talented. So I'll put my Simon Cowell hat on and give unsolicited advice:  He needs to work on connecting with the audience. He didn't say too much about the songs or his life and just sang.  He was good and I can see him doing well in the country scene.

OK I'm back.  I had to go get a towel to wipe up my drool from looking at the pictures of Luke Bryan. He is such a good looking man!

Well maybe he just says that in my dreams. He was phenomenal. You didn't get to see too much of how he would be in concert based on his Celebrity Apprentice stint. They made him seem stuffy and all business like but he was nothing like that in concert!  He really connected with the audience...well probably more with the throngs of females in the crowd.

You can defintely tell why he did well at the CMT awards this year as he strutted his stuff on the stage and put on a great opening act. He was all over the stage and got the crowd pumped up and ready for the main event! 

His boyish charm and antics made it even more fun to watch the show! He could sing and belted out his top songs such as Do I, Rain is a Good Thing, All my Friends Say, and other crowd pleasing songs.  He even rocked it out and did a cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman.

You can't tell by any of the pictures but his jeans were tight! Kind of ironic when his song Country Man talks about not wearing tight jeans or the baggy kind. I really didn't care because he looked good in them...thus the towel for drooling!
